I am going to continue documenting the trip to a coastal New England village. I have started a street scene and I will post a demo of that tomorrow or the next day.

Here I am in the sun, painting with Frank Gardner. I started a 26" by 29" today and got about halfway through it.
Frank painting out on the waterfront and below is the historic Charles Hawthorne studio. Some of the guys painted up there today.
Below, I am pictured appraising some remaining cigar material, my picture is on the easel behind me.

day was not enough so he is out painting the night with a headlamp.

Glad the weather changed up for you guys. I would love to be there.
I went off to draw the model last night after your stories. I didn't do as bad as I thought but not as good as I'd like.
The week will finish up in a big glorious weekend. Couldn't be more beautiful there. Street scenes..I love street scenes. It will be a winner.
Despite the beautiful weather here, I have to do the trip...and finish up a still life in the dungeon. Fall in new England is why I want to learn how to paint landscape.
Very cool...You can almost see Hawthorn pontificating in that room.
So, someone has saved Hawthorne's studio, then? A few years ago, I heard that it was ready to be sold to the highest-bidding developer. What a great space!
